It sure doesn't seem like Spring is in the Air when I look outside today here in NC but I am sure it is just around the corner. Today we have had some rain and cold but next week we are supposed to warm up. We have had some really strange weather here lately. A week ago we had snow, then up to 80 degrees and then back down to the 30's. Go figure. Mother Nature is playing with us.On that note I decided I needed a little bit of spring in the house as soon as possible. I have been on a mission to collect some new treasures for spring decorating and I can't wait to post it here. (you know blogging gives us all a chance to show our creativity and let the world see what we like and maybe someone else would enjoy it also - it's also the thrill of the search).

Here are a few things that I found at the great Antique Marketplace in Greensboro last week for starters. Just love them. I was so thrilled to find Mercantile Gatherings, the sign for my bathroom and the angel at the booth of Shari, Deb and Retha. You can see the angel in the topper of my blog. I found the wreath in another booth on sale. Just had to have it.

So, the mission was to re-do my mantle into a spring thing. Here are a few pics of how it turned out. I might still do a little tweaking (as Linda from Behind My Red Door calls it) yet but we will see. What do you think?

I got the rake and this angel at the prim shop in Pilot Mountain yesterday.

Another view of the mantle.
Most of the mantle here. It came out a little brighter than it is in person. So that's my little bit of spring for today. I hope to have more pictures of the house soon.

Thanks for looking. Soon, Sherie
